Abby Schwarz – Associate Regional Marketing Director at Yelp

Thrive’s August Member Spotlight is Yelp, who recently joined Thrive! We connected with TiffanyNieslanik and Abby Schwarz to ask about their experience with Thrive thus far and what they like to do around town! Q: How long have you been working at Thrive?

A: We have been working at Thrive for over two months!

Q: How does Thrive Workplace help your business Thrive?

A: We work in a community role for Yelp, so our positions are remote which means we can sometimes feel a bit isolated. Thrive gives us a place to meet up to get work done, connect with others and an excuse to change out of our bathrobes before 4 p.m.

Q: What are your favorite amenities at Thrive?

A: That recent wine happy hour was pretty bodacious! And, you can’t go wrong with free coffee.

Q: What three words would you use to describe Thrive?

A: Airy, bustling, fun.

Q: Tell us about your company.

A: Yelp is a website and mobile app that connects people to great local businesses.

Q: What sets you apart from your competition?

A: Our community. A lot of folks don’t realize that Yelp has such a vibrant community in multiple cities around the world. Our communities get together regularly to experience everything from weekend brunches to trivia nights and volunteering opportunities to puppy playdates.

Q: How many employees does your company have working at Thrive?

A: Three.

Q: Why did you choose Thrive over other coworking spaces in Denver?

A: We loved the vibe of the building and the people. We looked at a few other places, but when we came into Thrive we thought, “Oh, these are our people!”

Q: What do you enjoy doing around Denver?

A: We enjoy seeing live music, drinking rose and/or whiskey on patios, riding bikes and eating all the delicious food. Also, kid-friendly things like going to the zoo, the museums and all the amazing parks because I (Tiffany) have two sons, ages one and four.
