Thrive Workplace is excited to take part in this year’s Angel Capital Summit (ACS), presented by Rockies Venture Club (RVC). The summit kicks off at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, March 20 in Sturm Hall (2000 E. Asbury Ave.) on the University of Denver’s campus and wraps up at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21.

Entering its 11th year, the ACS has grown to become Colorado’s largest angel investing event. ACS is a two-day celebration of startups, investors and big ideas, with 300-400 participants. This year, ACS will focus on the tidal waves of innovation and their impact on the investment landscape: learning from prior waves, riding current waves to their crest and anticipating future waves to be on the lookout for.

The keynote speaker for the first day of the conference, Divya Narendra, will address past and future waves of innovation. Narendra is the founder and CEO of SumZero, a leading investor platform, and he also co-founded ConnectU with the Winklevoss twins, a platform which was the inspiration for Facebook. Through a fireside chat, Narendra will discuss what he and his partners saw early on, ahead of the social wave in the early 2000s, and parallels he sees today in innovative technologies, like blockchain.

On day two, the event will feature another keynote speaker, Andre Durand. Durand is the founder and CEO of Colorado’s Ping Identity. He successfully led Ping Identity to a $600+ million acquisition by Vista Equity Partners in 2016. He will be speaking to the current innovation happening within the cybersecurity space and the heights to which the security wave may be headed.

In addition to incredible thought leaders, ACS offers plentiful networking and social opportunities, a panel dedicated to blockchain and 24 companies presenting to the audience in an effort to raise capital through the RVC investment syndicates. The summit also celebrates Colorado’s university entrepreneurship programs with the University Startup Challenge, featuring the top student entrepreneur teams from Colorado’s institutions of higher education. Previous presenters have gone on to raise tens of millions of dollars in funding and are helping to grow Colorado’s innovation economy.

Thrive will have a booth at the event to raise awareness about our workspaces, and we will be giving away two hours of free conference room space to those who stop by. Come say hello!
